Elections for Cornwall and Parish Councillors will be taking place on 1 May 2025. More information about voting or becoming a local councillor is available from Cornwall Council Electoral Services:

What do parish councillors do?
Parish councillors invest time in local projects and issues to the benefit of residents and the neighbourhood. Councillors listen to local needs, make decisions on local services and help progress local projects for the community.
National surveys have found that parish councillors spend about three hours per week on council work, including attending council meetings.

More information about Grade Ruan Parish Council – see the parish council’s website: grpc.org.uk Prospective candidates for the parish council are encouraged to attend a council meeting – held on the second Monday of each month at the Sunday School Room, Ruan Minor Methodist Church. On 10 March there will be the Annual Meeting of Electors at 6.30pm, followed immediately afterwards by the March meeting of the Parish Council.
